When I was doing my internship at Malpeton clinic, I shared an office with a 7 other interns. In the office there were both people who were heterosexual and homosexual, and the nature of these types of relationships were often the topic of the day. A few times the topic of Polyamory came up and it was met with much confusion. I found myself often defending Polyamory without having any clinical material to back it up.
Recently I found a blogger that could have made these discussions much easier. Cunning Minx has a blog, Polyamory Weekly, and a podcast (found on itunes) that covers this topic. I found one of her post very interesting as it provides resources to therapist. One of the resources is a free PDF guide ”What Psychology Professionals Should Know About Polyamory“.
Thanks for the link! Happy to help make it easier for patients and professionals to have comfortable discussions surrounding their health.
